What
does the Bible teach?
It
teaches that the God of this universe Loves us.
He
wants us to be free.
He
wants us to want to be good, and try to be good; but to recognize
that we cannot.
He
wants us to recognize that we are beings in process, that is, we
haven't attained perfection; we have a sinful nature; we are in need of
redemption.
He
wants us to know that He has provided that redemption through His Son
Jesus, the Messiah, a perfect Lamb of God, Who has become for us a
perfect, eternal High Priest, Mediator, Friend and Savior; and that
in Him we are no longer under condemnation but are in good standing
with the God Who created us and in whose dominion we have always
existed, and before Whom we will stand in judgment—which we can
only endure safely IN CHRIST JESUS, delivered by His atoning
sacrifice.
He
wants us to avail ourselves, through faith in Him, of the grace that
enables us to Love one another, forgive each other, and grow, day by
day, toward the perfection of Christ. As we submit to Him in this
process, He wants us to have PEACE, JOY and ABUNDANT LIFE, and to
rest assured of ETERNAL LIFE.
