I can see why God
gets mad at us. As an example [one of many]: He has put more beauty
in this earth than any of us will ever be able to to enjoy. And we
run around like panic-stricken monkeys trying to gather up as many
bananas as possible before the net falls on us. Or we get it in our
heads that somebody is to blame for our misery and we either spend
our life trying to get them to change, or hating them because they
won't. We live as if we've got it all figured out while we continue
to make ourselves and others miserable—or live in “quiet
desperation”, believing that there's no way up. We continue to
“stone the prophets” and kill the Truth that God sends to us.
Spiritual blindness is real! And we all suffer from some of it. And
the blindness is easy to get lost in because we get used to ignoring
the pain that results from it. But even if we ignore the pain it
doesn't go away; nor should it! That pain is God knocking on the
door, offering everything we have ever needed or will ever need to
prosper through it. But Satan's in the house [he's in your house!]
doing everything he can to keep you from opening that door; offering
fake remedies, giving you stuff to numb the pain [and numb you out in
the process], convincing you that you're a hopeless victim in it.
Jesus said that He
has “overcome the world.” He has overcome all that painful stuff
that can drag your soul down into the pit. He said that we are going
to have problems, difficulties, setbacks, trials and “tribulation”;
but “BE OF GOOD CHEER” He said. Do you hear that? BE OF GOOD
CHEER! That's the Lord, Messiah, God in the Flesh speaking. It's an
invitation and a command! If He is your Lord, you will be able to
obey that command because His Spirit IN YOU will empower you to do
so.
Otherwise, you're in
the darkness. And there's nothing good there. And God gets mad at
you. Because He wants you to come into the Light.
