The ocean is not
Damaged by the tsunami.
I am the ocean!
Damaged by the tsunami.
I am the ocean!
My heart is yearning
For boys who played in my
home
In
earlier days
I
can feel the truth
When the heart-noise
dissipates
And
my soul takes flight
Live
like the monarchs
Enjoy many flower fields
In
life’s migration
Like
soft rain falling
Kindness
refreshes our soul
Renews
our spirit
Warmth
of morning sun
Sparrows, house-finch, white-winged dove
Celebrate
new day!
World
full of beauty
Left
and right, above below
See
with brand new eyes!
Chihauhuan
desert
Looks
barren from distance
Up
close—full of life!
Wind
chimes call me home
To
place of effortlessness
From
which much good comes.
My
heart yearns to rest
[The yearning is the
problem]
Aha!
Now I rest!
In
serenity
Everything
becomes lucid
Now
comes best effort
When
belly is full
Thoughts are dull,
movements sullen
Better
to hold back
There
is a time for
Everything under the sun;
Even
rebellion.
Into
the dark womb
Of
the spiritual earth
The
Seed of Life came.
Aging
What
was that Haiku
That
slipped from my memory?
It
was a good one!
We
can find joy in
Pulling
weeds from the garden
So
flowers can grow.
Even
a dullard
Can
feel a breath of beauty
With
an open heart.
Sleepiness
arises.
What is really important?
The
gift of a nap!
Like
salmon upstream
For
the next generation
We
pour ourselves out.
Denali
Summer soft colored
Winter tops; stark, foreboding
It's teeth--the Grizzly
Lush, many flowered
Fragrant rolling soft mountains
Vast 'spanse, beyond sight
Only in summer
May this beauty be beheld
Lush, white-topped mountains
People in and out
Quiet beauty always here
Changing with seasons
Cool clouds roll in slow
Over vast quiet beauty
Opening my soul
Silty cold river
Braids through lush flat green valley
Feeding mirror pools
Beauty overflowing
Tiny bright trembling flower
And vast snowy crags
Midnight at Talkeetna
Arctic terns in sun
Flaming behind Denali
Glacial river air
Family closeness
Has its painful episodes
Yet is wonderful
