Depravity and Protection

There seems to be no bottom to the pit of human depravity. “Content moderators”, hired by FaceBook to sift through the porn and violence injected into its medium, need, and are provided counseling to deal with the PTSD symptoms they suffer from what they are exposed to: child pornography, bestiality, and cruelty to animals, etc. One moderator witnessed children being encouraged to touch each other sexually; another witnessed a cat being put in a microwave. Social media has given pathology the unprecedented combination of anonymity and wide exposure; and given us an unwanted but enlightening look at human depravity. Christianity is the Fire that keeps the beasts of prey at bay in any society. It is the societal immune system that protects humankind from pathological outbreaks. We must nurture, protect and propagate it. We must extol Jesus Christ as the Way of salvation. We must live in Truth.
