Allow your suffering to be consumed in the Fire of God's Love for you, and in your secure knowledge of and faith in that Love. If we turn away from God in our suffering, or because of that suffering, we move away from the only Source of its healing; the only Power by which that suffering can be transformed into something beautiful; something for which we are actually thankful.
Here is a prayer:
"Lord I pray to be delivered from all my suffering except for that which You, in Your infinite wisdom and unspeakable Love, would choose to allow into my life for the loving and wise reasons that You would allow it. I accept that suffering with gratitude for what it is designed to bring into my life."
